Working Together
Working together begins with welcoming you into a calm, compassionate space where you can be heard and understood.
You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what to say or where to begin. We’ll start with what’s happening for you now and what you’d like to be different.
Your sessions, your pace
Our work is collaborative, with your experiences, needs and hopes for change guiding each session.
My role is to listen, ask thoughtful questions and help you explore what may be keeping you stuck. Together, we can find new ways of understanding your experiences and move towards the changes you choose.
You set the pace. Meaningful change is possible without reliving the past.
An approach tailored to you
No two people are the same, so our sessions won’t follow a set programme. The way we work will be shaped around you, what you bring and what you hope to achieve.
I work in a trauma-informed way and may draw upon approaches including NLP and EMN. What we use, and how, will be guided by you and the changes you’d like to make.
NLP
NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) explores the connections between our thoughts, language and patterns of behaviour. It can help you notice how you currently make sense of your experiences and discover different ways of thinking, feeling and responding.
EMN
EMN (Eye Movement Neurointegration) uses guided eye movements to help the brain process difficult experiences differently. The aim is to reduce the emotional intensity connected with an experience, so it has less influence on how you feel and respond today.
